In this case, the trainees were Teachers themselves who have many years of experience in the field of teaching. In the given circumstances, it was easier for the teachers to understand and grasp the fundamentals of Online Training for Teachers.
• Understanding the Online Platform – An online platform is required for conducting an online class. Both Teachers and students must have the platform (Web Application) on their smart mobiles or laptops. The teachers were briefed about available platforms and applications that are easy to use and secure at the same time.
• M.S Meets – One such platform which is secure for teachers and students is MS Meets. Teachers were briefed about using the application, salient features, and basic rules of usage.
• Zoom – Another web application for conducting online classes is the Zoom app. Teachers were trained on how to conduct online classes using an application with multiple user students.
• Google Meet – The application is popular in a corporate culture because of its safety and user-friendly features. And we got similar feedback from the teachers at St Anselm after the training.
• Preparing the teaching material – The essence of the Online classes would go in vain if the teaching material is not up to the date or is not engaging enough. In India, most of the teaching material is available in books but it could not be used for holistic learning. Thus, a small segment was dedicated to the section where Teachers were trained on how to prepare education material for online classrooms.

Apart from the above, basic principles, techniques, etiquette, and ground rules were some other topics that were also covered under the training for teachers.
